Monastery NS – Joe Moloney

Joe Moloney is in his early eighties and is a retired farmer from Barronstown. He has a keen interest in history, community and agriculture. Joe has observed and lived through many changes in rural life and up to recent years presented a weekly agricultural programme on radio. He has a passionate interest in Gaelic games and was a member of the victorious Tipperary Minor Hurling Team that won the All –Ireland in 1949. He was an active member of the committee responsible for the development of the Arravale Rovers facilities at Sean Treacy Park in the early 1960s. He is a fount of local knowledge and folklore with a crystal clear memory.
