Thomastown NS – Eddie Thompson

Eddie Thompson was very conscious of the value of sharing how life was for him when growing up in late thirties-early forties Ireland. He had great retention and wonderful recollections that were a bit different to the others. He spoke a lot about the World War and how it impacted on family and school life particularly with the rationing of certain foods when ports were blocked. He was delighted to be asked to do this and was very eloquent and knowledgeable.
